Privacy Policy

Georgia Bites does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Information we collect

None. The app has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise or approximate location, device identifiers, or any advertising identifier. We do not use cookies for tracking, and we do not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Information stored on your device

The app saves one thing locally: the lake you last selected, so it reopens where you left off. This is stored in your device's local storage, never leaves your device, and is not visible to us. Deleting the app removes it.

Third-party services

To produce a bite score, the app requests public environmental data. These requests contain only the coordinates of the Georgia reservoir you selected and the relevant gauge identifier — never anything about you or your device beyond the standard network information any internet request involves (such as your IP address, which these providers may log under their own policies).

• Anthropic — powers the optional "Ask the guide" feature. When you tap it, the app sends only the current weather readings and computed score factors for the selected lake and species to our own server, which relays them to Anthropic's API and streams back a written summary. Sun, moon, and solunar times are calculated on your device and require no network request at all.

Children's privacy

The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Data sharing and sale

We have no personal data to share, sell, rent, or disclose — to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. There is nothing to request, correct, or delete, because nothing about you is ever collected or retained on our systems.

Fishing information disclaimer

Bite scores are estimates generated from public weather and river data and are provided for informational purposes only. Water temperature is estimated from air temperature, not measured directly. Always check current conditions, regulations, and safety advisories before heading out on the water.

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and revise the date above.
